DUNDEE, Mich. — Officials have identified the man who died in a Monroe County crash Friday afternoon as John Pollock, 86, of Whitehouse.
Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said a minivan driven by Mr. Pollock exited northbound U.S. 23 into a rest area at a high speed and hit a camper and tractor-trailer, both of which were parked.
The crash at the Summerfield Township rest area was reported at 12:24 p.m. Mr. Pollock was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
