BLADE STAFF

Two Toledo convenience stores were robbed during the weekend.

Late Friday, In & Out Mart, 5830 Douglas Rd., was robbed by a woman who pointed a gun at a clerk.

According to a Toledo police report, a woman went into the store at 10:13 p.m. and whispered to the clerk, “Give me your money,” and pointed a gun, wrapped in a white scarf, at the employee.

The clerk gave the suspect $200 from the register and was ordered to give up any money underneath the cash drawer.

Upon learning only coins were under the drawer, the suspect left the store, police said.

The suspect is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 120 pounds, with hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a dark-colored scarf that covered the lower portion of her face, and dark-colored sunglasses.

Saturday morning, a Lagrange Street 7-Eleven in North Toledo was robbed.

Two store employees were outside the store at 3151 Lagrange, smoking at approximately 1:15 a.m., when a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt approached the front doors.

He went into the store, walked up to an ATM, and pulled a cloth over his mouth and went behind the counter, loading packs of cigarettes into a bag.

One employee opened the door to confront the suspect, but the man claimed to have a gun and ordered the employee back out of the store.

The suspect left the store and was last seen on East Streicher Street. He made off with 77 packs of cigarettes, worth an estimated $469.

The suspect is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar above his right eyebrow; he was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and light-colored jeans.
