Bicyclist injured in accident on West Alexis Road
10/5/2013A 39-year-old bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck in a vehicular accident on West Alexis Road at Atwell Road on Saturday afternoon, according to Toledo Police.
Robert R. Ramos, whose address was not immediately available, was taken by Life Squad to Toledo Hospital, where he remained in critical condition late Saturday night.
About 4:10 p.m. a vehicle operated by Andrew Stannard, 20, of Secor Road was westbound on Alexis in the through lane when Mr. Ramos rode south from Atwell onto Alexis, failing to yield to traffic, according to police.
A passenger in Mr. Stannard's vehicle, Amber Sullivan, 22, of the same address on Secor, was taken to Mercy St. Anne Hospital as a precaution.
