BRYAN -- State troopers have identified the man who was injured when he rode his bicycle into the path of a car Saturday just north of Bryan, as Timothy A. Vance, 51, of Bryan.

Mr. Vance had been riding his bicycle northeast on U.S. 127 about 6:10 p.m. Saturday when he rode into the path of a southwest-bound car driven by Stephen J. Seibert, 66, of Findlay, according to the Defiance post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. The bicycle struck the car, and the cyclist was thrown to the pavement. He did not wear a helmet. He was taken to Bryan Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

A hospital spokesman confirmed that Mr. Vance remained a patient late today, but his condition was unavailable.

Mr. Seibert and his passengers were treated at the scene.
