Gas leak closes Tracy Road at State Rt. 795

Authorities say that that Tracy Road will remain closed between State Rt. 795 and Ayers Road because of a gas leak in a manhole.

The smell of gas coming from a manhole at the intersection was reported to Columbia Gas about 3 p.m. today. Crews were working at the intersection late today and will be on the scene until repairs are completed, said Chris Kozak, a Columbia gas spokesman. He did not have a time frame for when that would be.

Residents were not in danger and no disruption to gas service was anticipated, Mr. Kozak said.
