BOWLING GREEN -- A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a Tuesday robbery near Bowling Green State University, authorities said.

Timothy Sewell, Jr., of Bowling Green, was charged with trafficking in drugs and booked into the Wood County jail pending arraignment today in Bowling Green Municipal Court, BG police Major Tony Hetrick said.

The robbery was reported about 3 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment in the 500 block of North Enterprise Street, about two blocks from the Bowling Green State University campus.

BGSU sent out a text message to students, faculty, and staff who have opted to receive such alerts. All students, staff, and faculty were sent an email, and the message was posted to the BGSU Web site and 142 television monitors in public areas around campus, said Dave Kielmeyer, BGSU spokesman.

The alert, based on information BGSU police received from Bowling Green police, said a "robbery at gunpoint" was reported and that three males "ran northeast from the area."

No additional details were released. The incident remained under investigation.
