An arrest warrant for murder was issued overnight for a North Toledo man accused of killing a woman he knew Wednesday evening.

Dimitrias A. Graves, 27, who is familiar to police, is considered armed and dangerous and Toledo Police Sgt. Tim Noble asked anyone who sees Graves to immediately call police or Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.

The deceased woman was found near the sidewalk of 658 Spring St., where Graves’ mother lives, shortly after police were called on a report of gunfire at 7:48 p.m.

Police do not believe the deceased woman lived there, Sergeant Noble said. Her name is being withheld by police until authorities contact her family.

A second woman caught up in the same incident was being treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for an eye injury. It was not immediately clear how that injury was sustained.

Sergeant Noble said investigators learned of nearby violence in the vicinity of Stickney and St. John avenues that was believed to have been related to the shooting on Spring.

It was not immediately clear if the two women knew each other.
