In a citywide gang sweep Thursday, the Toledo Police department, with the Highway Patrol, arrested 56 people, confiscated one gun, and $6,660 worth of various drugs.

The operation, police said, was to “reduce gang and gun violence through proactive patrol and search warrants.”

The department said they filled out five “gang sheets” – information about individual gang members – seized $1,600 of marijuana, $4,000 worth of cocaine, and $1,060 worth of “other” drugs.”

Among the arrests, four suspects were arrested on robbery warrants and another was arrested on burglary warrants.
