The office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has issued an opinion that Walbridge village police Chief Kenneth Frost may simultaneously serve as Walbridge administrator under certain restrictions.

As administrator, Mr. Frost may not approve invoices, estimates, contracts, or other expenditures for the village police department without the council’s approval, and as police chief he must remove himself from any investigation concerning the office of administrator.

Mayor Ed Kolanko requested the opinion after a citizen questioned the dual appointment.
