Toledo police seek suspects, answers in Sunday central city shooting


Police are looking for the person or people who opened fire in central Toledo late Sunday, shooting one man in a leg.

Wounded was Joshua Holly, 21, who was taken to Toledo Hospital for "minor injuries," police said.

Police reported they were responding to a shooting and heard an additional three gunshots near Avondale Avenue and Elizabeth Street, near Ella P. Stewart Academy for Girls, at 9:21 p.m.

Witnesses told police they were walking back from a club when they were approached by two people who wanted to rob them.

One shot was fired, wounding Mr. Holly, who fell onto the parking lot at the elementary school.
