A Toledo man was seriously injured Monday on McCord Road south of Sylvania Avenue in Sylvania Township, after a sport utility vehicle turned in front of him, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.
Gregory M. Baldwin, 61, was driving a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on McCord, when Nicholas J. Babets, 21, of Sylvania, who was driving the SUV south on McCord, tried to turn left into a private drive and was struck by the motorcycle, troopers said.
Mr. Baldwin, who was thrown from the motorcycle, was transported to Toledo Hospital and was listed in serious condition, troopers said.
He was wearing a helmet, the report stated.
The patrol’s Toledo post was assisted by Sylvania Township police and Sylvania Township Fire and Rescue crews.
The crash, reported at 4:35 p.m., remained under investigation.
