One man was shot in his right arm just before midnight during an argument in Toledo's central city.
Willie Banks III, 24, was taken to Toledo Hospital in a private vehicle and treated for the wound.
According to a police report, the victim and his girlfriend gave slightly different stories as to how the shooting went down.
The victim told police that he and his girlfriend were walking on Milburn Avenue, near Auburn Avenue, at 11:50 p.m. to a nearby gas station.
The victim said a vehicle driving on Milburn nearly hit the couple and an argument between the pair and the four people inside the car broke out.
Someone in the vehicle reportedly fired a single shot, striking the man.
The girlfriend told police the couple were walking on Bishop Street, near Trowbridge Drive, when a dark-colored car pulled up to them and the two people inside started talking to the couple.
The victim, according to his girlfriend, said to the people in the car, “Why you being disrespectful and we don't know you,” the police report states.
The woman reported hearing three gunshots, realized her boyfriend was shot, and took him back to her house before a friend drove them to the hospital.
No charges have been filed and no suspect descriptions were provided.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
