Findlay man, 24, arrested, charged with death of six-week-old son


A Findlay man was arrested today on a warrant and charged with the death earlier this week of his six-week old son. Jerrod Hartman, 24, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and is currently being held in the Hancock County jail.

Findlay police were called to 321 Third St. about 7 a.m. Monday. When they arrived the infant, James Hartman, was not breathing, police said.

The baby was taken to Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center where he was pronounced dead.
