Toledo police are hoping someone helps them identify a woman who robbed a 90-year-old man of cash at his North Toledo apartment Wednesday.

John Dilby, the victim, was not injured, police said.

Police said the woman walked unannounced into Mr. Dilby's apartment in the 700 block of North Erie Street through an unlocked door about 2 p.m., carrying a big black bag full of assorted items, and tried to sell them to him. When he refused to buy and asked her to leave, she shoved him down into his chair, snatched a pill bottle filled with $10 worth of quarters, emptied it, and left with the cash, according to police.

The woman was described by authorities as black, in her 30s, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing at least 200 pounds. She wore a black hat, reading glasses, and a red jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
