A sobriety checkpoint will be set up in the 2800 block of Navarre Avenue (State Rt. 2) tonight from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Oregon police and the Lucas County OVI Task Force.
The checkpoint's goal is to remove impaired drivers from the road along with raising public awareness of the on-going problem of drunken and drugged drivers.
Officials urged people to choose designated drivers or make other arrangements if they plan to consume alcoholic beverages.
