Cause of W. Central fire under investigation

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged an unoccupied house at West Central Avenue and Jackman Road in West Toledo early Friday, authorities said.

No one was injured, the Toledo Fire Department said.

The blaze at 1633 W. Central Ave. was reported about 6:35 a.m. Damage was estimated at $2,000, Fire Lt. Matthew Hertzfeld said.

The official Web site of the Lucas County Auditor’s office lists Mohamed Hussein as the owner of the single-story, wood-frame house built in 1952.
