1 killed, 1 injured in Hardin County accident

DOLA, Ohio — One woman was killed and another woman injured today in a collision at a Washington Township intersection two miles south of the Hardin County village of Dola, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Taylor L. Carder, 20, of Dola, driving a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup north on township road 125, ran a stop sign and collided with a 2002 Mercury Cougar driven on township road 50 by London M. Crist, 18, also of Dola.

The crash was reported at 2:14 p.m. The pickup truck rolled on its top in the intersection, where the car also came to a stop.

Ms. Carder, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from her truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ms. Crist was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, troopers said. She was wearing a seat belt.

Dola is 68 miles south of Toledo.
