Man robs bank in Frenchtown Township

    The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is reporting a robbery at KeyBank, located at 1535 North Telegraph in Frenchtown Township, corner of North Telegraph & Stewart Road, on Wednesday.

    MONROE -- A KeyBank branch in Frenchtown Township was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash today, authorities said.

    A man entered the bank at 1535 N. Telegraph Rd. at Stewart Road  about 3:55 p.m. and -- implying he had a weapon -- demanded money from a bank employee. Once the employee complied, the man fled on foot heading south.

    The man is described as white, in his 50s or 60s, about 6 foot tall, or slightly taller, with a medium build, with gray facial hair. He wore a tan coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark gray pants, white tennis shoes, and sunglasses.

    The suspect is described as a white male, 50s to 60s in age. He was approximately 6 foot, or slightly taller, with a medium build. He was wearing a tan coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark gray pants, white tennis shoes, and sunglasses. The man had gray facial hair estimated to be only a few days old.
