1 killed in Fulton County crash

WAUSEON - One person was killed today in a rollover accident on State Rt. 108 in Fulton County, about three miles south of here, authorities said.

Sarah Gomez, 22, of Defiance, Ohio, who was the driver of the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said she was southbound on Route 108, between County Roads A and B, about 6:30 a.m. when she drove off the west side of the road and struck a guardrail. The car came to rest on its top in a ditch.

Ms. Gomez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car. The accident remains under investigation.
