Deitrekk Boone, 20, was arrested at about 3 p.m., local time, by Houston police officers as the suspect was eating at a Golden Corral, sources said. Boone had a fake identification, naming him James Smith.

Mr. Boone is one of five Toledo men accused in the shooting death of Joseph Lengel, 57, a South Toledo gym owner who was killed in November, 2012.

Houston officers ran a fingerprint check on Mr. Boone recently, outside their downtown library, where they believed he was selling drugs, officials said.

Mr. Boone reportedly fought with police and got away.

Once officers in Houston learned who their suspect was, and that he was wanted in Toledo for murder, they set out to arrest him.

The other four suspects in Mr. Lengel's death have been convicted and are serving prison sentences.
