DUNDEE, Mich. -- A family was displaced Tuesday evening by a fire in an upstairs bedroom of their two-story Dundee home.

The fire on West Monroe Street was reported about 6:30 p.m. and was contained to the bedroom where it started, said Dundee fire Chief Dan Motylinski. The house sustained water and smoke damage and structural damage to the roof and back wall.

There were no injuries. The American Red Cross was called to help the family find shelter.

The fire's cause has not been determined, but it could be electrical, the chief said. The Milan and Summerfield, Mich., fire departments assisted. Dundee firefighters were on the scene until about 9 p.m., the chief said.
