The man who robbed a South Toledo store doesn't quite understand the holiday season and its giving spirit.

“It's that time of year,” the armed robber reportedly told a Dollar General employee.

The bandit went into the store, 2835 Airport Hwy., just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to a police report.

With a revolver in his right hand, the robber approached the counter and demanded the clerk empty the register.

“You know what this is,” the robber reportedly said to the clerk. “It's not worth it,” the clerk said, according to the police report.

After again demanding cash, the clerk complied and the robber fled.

The robber is described as black, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 170 pounds, with a goatee and tattoos on his right hand. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and clear gloves.
