Toledo Police are looking for two men suspected of robbing a man of $360 Tuesday at gunpoint, and then shooting at him as he ran away.

Police said Jordan Austin, 22, of Church Street called someone he knows only as “Bub” for a ride from about Tremainsville Road and Upton Avenue to East Toledo about 1:15 p.m.

When he pulled out some cash to give the man $20 for gas another man in the car pulled a gun and robbed him of $360, according to police.

The victim told police he was advised by one of the assailants to “keep his mouth shut or he will get what the guy got on Pearl Street.” Two men were shot and killed on East Pearl Street in North Toledo Dec. 9. No arrests have been made.

The victim said he unlocked the door and jumped out and was shot at. He said the two men fled toward Sylvania Avenue in a four-door silver Ford with a license plate that included the letters EUH and a handicapped sticker hanging from the mirror.

Mr. Austin was shot Nov. 4 in the hand in a robbery, according to a police report. The victim told police he was approached at Berry and Earl streets by two men who demanded cash. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim’s face; the victim grabbed the gun, and a shot was fired, according to a police report.
