A Toledo man who was killed on Christmas Day was shot three times, an autopsy showed.

Each shot struck Anthony Sisson, 30, in his chest, Lucas County Deputy Coroner Dr. Cynthia Beisser said today. The death is being ruled a homicide and toxicology results are pending, she said.

Dr. Beisser was not able to determine how far away the victim was from the shooter.

Sisson was shot in the 800 block of Ross Street at 3:55 p.m., Wednesday. Police found him in the middle of the street, near a boarded-up house in Toledo's central city. He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

No charges had been filed today, said police Sgt. Kevin Braun, who also had no information about a possible motive.

A woman who answered the door at a Pinewood Avenue address associated with Sisson identified herself as the victim's sister; she declined to comment.

Ross Street today was quiet - the only lingering sign of the death a scrap of bright yellow crime-scene tape around a utility pole.

Sisson is the 33rd homicide victim in Toledo this year, including three at the Toledo Correctional Institution. Toledo police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
