An incident in which a 38-year-old man was shot Thursday night in North Toledo remained under investigation Friday.
Antonio Mims, whose address was not released, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, police said. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.
The victim was shot about 9:20 p.m. in the 200 block of East Delaware Avenue near Lagrange Street, police said.
Sgt. Roy Kennedy said the victim told officers he was walking down the street when he heard several gunshots and realized he had been hit in the hip. He told investigators he did not know who had shot him, police said.
The man also told police he saw three men run from the scene. Officers called in a canine unit to try to track any footprints in the snow, but no tracks were found, Sergeant Kennedy said.
Police said they had no suspects.
