Man wounded in gang-related shooting at party

A man working security at a party was shot when a fight between Crips and Folks gang members started, according to a police report.

Wounded was Tyree Daniel, 31, of Toledo. He was shot in his left forearm at the warehouse party, 1025 Brown Ave., at 9:50 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived at the central Toledo warehouse, they saw “hundreds” of people running from the property, according to a police report.

The victim told police he was working at the “teen party,” which was attended by Crips and Folks. A fight started inside the warehouse and continued outside.

A male, believed to be 16 to 21 years old, pulled out a gun and shot one time into the air. He was dressed in black clothing, with a green Nike knit cap on his head.

The male then reportedly pointed the handgun at the victim and fired once more, according to the police report.

No charges have been filed.
