MONROE -- A section of southbound I-75 that had closed after tractor-trailers slid across icy roadway has reopened, Monroe County officials announced.
Tractor-trailers sliding on slick pavement caused authorities late today to direct southbound I-75 traffic off the interstate at Nadeau Road, north of Monroe.
Conditions got especially slick about 9 p.m. on an incline north of the 15 mile marker. No injuries were reported as several semis slid across I-75.
Authorities reopened the highway shortly after 11 p.m.after the semis were removed and sand was applied to the road.
