2 Kentucky residents facing charges after 2,421 illegal drug pills seized in Hancock County traffic stop

FINDLAY -- Two Louisville residents are facing felony drug charges after state troopers early today seized $24,000 worth of an illegal drug during a traffic stop on I-75, at the U.S. 224 exit just outside Findlay, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Darius Reaves, 42, the driver, and passenger Martise Corley, 35, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, according to the patrol's district headquarters in Findlay. They were booked into the Hancock County jail pending arraignment at Findlay Municipal Court.

Seized during the stop in Hancock County's Liberty Township were 2,421 Ecstasy pills, troopers said.

Troopers stopped a rented 2014 Ford Edge, with Florida registration, for failing to display taillights, near milepost 159 at 12:51 a.m., the patrol said. A drug sniffing dog then led them the pills, which were stashed under the rear seat, they said.

If convicted, each could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine, according to the patrol.

Findlay, the seat of Hancock County, is about 45 miles south of Toledo.
