Friendly small talk about the frigid weather turned into the armed robbery of a West Toledo convenience store on Tuesday night.

The In & Out Mart, 5830 Douglas Rd., was robbed at 10:40 p.m. by a man wearing a black ski mask and carrying a black handgun, police said.

The store clerk told officers that the man came into the store and she made a comment about the cold weather. He agreed and then pulled out his gun and yelled, "Give me your money. Give me your money."

The clerk opened the register and gave the man an undetermined amount of cash before he fled on foot.

The suspect is described as white, 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, and black gloves.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
