Delta woman seriously injured when her car collided with a pickup

A Delta, Ohio, woman was seriously injured today when the car she was driving went left of center on U.S. 20A near milepost 25 in Swan Creek Township and collided with a pickup.

Karen S. Wilson, 60, was transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center with serious injuries, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.

She was driving westbound on U.S. 20A at 6:16 p.m., when her vehicle went left of center and struck an eastbound pickup being driven by Mitchell S. Cousino, 37, also of Delta.

Mr. Cousino sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation; alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, the report states.

The crash closed US-20A for about an hour.
