Crews work through bitter cold to repair water main

Break affected several downtown buildings, including municipal court and Fire Station #1

City of Toledo crews worked through extreme cold late Tuesday to repair a water main break that has affected several downtown buildings -- including Toledo Municipal Court, the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, the Alarm Building, and Fire Station 1.

As a result, crews were to post notices advising building occupants to boil water for at least a minute before consuming it, officials said.

The health department closed for much of Tuesday because of the water main break.
