Fire departments working to contain blaze in Perkins Twp.

Four area fire departments worked to contain a blaze reported about 7:10 p.m. Tuesday at Americas Best Value Inn on Milan Road in Erie County's Perkins Township.

Heavy smoke was reported around the building when firefighters arrived. Assisting the Perkins Township department were firefighters from Sandusky, Huron, and Margaretta Township.

No injuries are being reported. The hotel was closed for the season.
