Man allegedly tried to solicit sex from youth

An 18-year-old man who allegedly tried to solicit sex from an 11-year-old girl on Facebook was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Destin Garcia, of 3134 Glencairn Ave., is charged with one count of importuning and was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

According to court records, the suspect, on Feb. 24, sent Facebook messages to the girl and said he wanted to have sex with her. During the conversation, the girl told him she was 11, according to the complaint.

Mr. Garcia is to appear in court again on March 14.
