Assailant sought for breaking janitor’s jaw

An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for a West Toledo man who is accused of punching a janitor in the face and breaking the man’s jaw.

Charged with felonious assault is Larenzo Leake, 33, of 4016 Asbury Dr. He also spells his name “Lorenzo.”

Police allege that he was at Mylers Rock Garden Bar, 5710 Telegraph Rd., on March 11 when the suspect punched Jeremy Champion, who cleans the bar after closing.

Police report the attack was unprovoked, and Mr. Champion’s jaw was broken in two places.

Leake, profiled in a December Blade story about gang tattoos, is described as black, 210 pounds, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, with black hair, and brown eyes.

He also has other pending charges in Toledo Municipal Court following a raid at his Asbury home earlier this month: trafficking in drugs, wild/ dangerous animals, drug paraphernalia, and two counts possession of drugs.
