2 injured in separate shootings in South Toledo, Old West End

BLADE STAFF

Two people were wounded in apparently unrelated shooting incidents overnight, police report.

In the first, reported to police at about 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Marc Grant was shot in a shoulder at 3415 S. Detroit Ave. in South Toledo.

According to initial reports, the man's wife called to report that her husband was shot; it was not clear who shot him or if there was a domestic incident.

The man drove himself to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, for treatment, police said.

At about 2:15 a.m., Corbin Gingrich was shot at 1931 Scottwood Ave., behind the Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion in the Old West End.

The victim was reportedly shot in the face and taken in a private vehicle to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

A hospital spokesman had no information about the patient.

Police ask that anyone with information about the shootings call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
