A woman driving near the University of Toledo early Tuesday reported to police that an armed man tried to rob her.

Kayla Rivera, 21, of Northwood told police she stopped at a stop sign at Dorr Street and Mackow Drive about 3:30 a.m. when a man outside said something to her, prompting her to roll down a window about an inch.

The man stuck a handgun inside the window and said, “Give me your money,” Ms. Rivera told police. She started to honk her horn and drove off. The suspect fled on foot, eastbound on Mackow.

She described the robber as white, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall, and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit and had a black handgun.
