2 people shot in separate incidents

Shootings occurred at 8:11 p.m. Monday, 12:26 a.m. today


Two men were shot overnight in apparently unrelated incidents, police said.

Larmie Schuler, 18, of Toledo, was shot in his right thigh during a fight outside in the 400 block of Southgate Circle, police said. Witnesses told police they heard a fight and then several gunshots at 8:11 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Schuler was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, for treatment.

At 12:26 a.m. today, Johnny Barnard, of Toledo, was wounded when a bullet grazed the left side of his head, police said.

The victim told police he was in the 1500 block of Brooke Park Drive when two men with guns approached and asked him for money. The victim gave the gunmen money and one took a single shot.

Mr. Barnard was taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital for treatment.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
