Bank robbery reported in Perrysburg

Perrysburg police and the FBI are investigating a robbery today of the State Bank & Trust Co. branch, 610 E. South Boundary St.

Police said a man handed a note to a teller about 1:35 p.m. saying that he was robbing the bank. No weapon was seen, and the man didn't indicate whether he had a weapon. No one was injured.

The man left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and drove away in a red compact vehicle, which was not displaying license plates.

Police described the robber as a white man 25 to 30 years old. He was 5-feet, 8-inches tall, thin, had a full beard, and wore a baseball cap, a dark-colored coat, and blue jeans.
