An Oak Harbor, Ohio, woman who admitted taking illegal drugs to her son at Toledo Correctional Institution has been sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Along with sending Ann Goode, 42, to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, near Stryker, Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart on Tuesday also placed her on four years’ community control, suspended her driver’s license for a year, ordered 80 hours of community service, and directed her to complete mental-health counseling and treatment.

Goode, who was recently charged in Ottawa County with having weapons under disability, pleaded guilty Feb. 25 to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a government facility in the Oct. 9 incident. Her son, Zachary Redfern, 21, is to be sentenced April 22 for complicity to illegal conveyance of drugs.
