Monroe man charged with weekend robbery at mobile home park, 2nd suspect still at large


MONROE --  A 29-year-old Monroe man was arrested Tuesday evening and accused of an armed robbery Saturday in the Willow Green Mobile Home Park in Monroe Township, authorities said.

The man, whose name was being withheld, was charged with robbery and booked into the Monroe County jail pending arraignment.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident at a Monroe city home after his vehicle was seen parked outside, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. 

About 7:30 p.m. Saturday, two male victims were riding in a car with the suspect and another male, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect, who was in a light-colored Ford sedan, stranded both victims in the mobile home park. The suspect struck both victims with a gun. Both victims were treated for their injuries at a local hospital.

The robbery remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office detective bureau at 734-240-7530.
