Troopers arrest Toledoan for marijuana, drug paraphernalia

Ohio Highway Patrol troopers arrested a Toledo man after finding marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.

Charged with possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs, and several traffic violations is Antwaun Turner, 26, of 1955 Upton Ave. Mr. Turner was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court and released on his own recognizance. He is to appear in court again on Tuesday.

Troopers reported stopping Mr. Turner's vehicle on Monroe Street, at 11:42 p.m. Thursday, for marked lanes, failure to signal, and license plate violations. Troopers reported smelling marijuana and then searching the sport-utility vehicle. During the search, the troopers found nearly a half-pound of marijuana, worth an estimated $6,500, under a center console, scales, plastic bags, and about $4,400 cash.
