A single-car rollover crash that killed a 14-year-old Curtice, Ohio, boy and injured two others in Jerusalem Township late Monday remained under investigation Tuesday, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Zachery Brantley, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. Young Brantley, who was in the front seat and was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, troopers said.

Cody Slinker, 20, the driver, and Brandon Bartic, 16, a back-seat passenger, were taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, troopers said.

The 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra was southbound on Howard Road just south of Rachel Road about 9:45 p.m. when it went off the road, spun around, and rolled over several times before coming to rest upright in a field, troopers said.
