$500,000 bond set for man charged in Friday shooting

A Toledo man accused in a downtown shooting was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

Houston Hart III, 27, of 513 Adams St., is charged with felonious assault. Police allege that he shot Louis Barton, age not available, of Toledo, three times on Friday. The shooting, which was reported at 9:05 a.m. Friday, happened on 13th Street between Madison and Jefferson avenues.

Witnesses said the shooting was the result of a months-long feud between the victim and suspect.

Mr. Hart is to appear in Toledo Municipal Court again Tuesday.
