Bond was set at $1 million today for a Toledo man accused of murder.

Lecorius J. "Corey" Reynolds, 34, of 129 Dale St., was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court for an incident that resulted in the death of  51-year-old Roy H. Roberts, of the same address, whose body was found run over by a train Friday night.

Mr. Reynolds was ordered held in lieu of the bond at the Lucas County jail, pending preliminary hearing May 12, without an option to post 10 percent of the bond and be released. He remained silent and showed no emotion during the arraignment. No family members or friends on either side were present.

Police said the suspect beat the victim earlier in the day and left him on the tracks.

The body of the man, who was naked, was found on the Norfolk Southern tracks at Air Line Avenue and Gibbons Street about 9 p.m. after the railroad company notified police.

Police Sgt. Tim Noble said authorities believe Mr. Reynolds beat Mr. Roberts at 129 Dale, waited an undetermined amount of time, then moved his body to the tracks about 500 feet from 129 Dale and fled.

Sergeant Noble said Mr. Roberts might have been dead by the time he was struck by the train.
