A Toledo man whom police accuse of an East Toledo shooting remained in the Lucas County jail Thursday night.

Manuel Pacely, 27, of 1701 Mulberry Ave. is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and having a weapon while under disability. His bond was set at $50,000 during his arraignment Thursday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Police said Robert Tatum, 28, of Toledo went to his ex-girlfriend’s house in the 700 block of Euclid about 6:15 p.m. Thursday. He was confronted by her new boyfriend who, police said, pulled out a gun and pulled the trigger twice, but it only fired on the second try. He then fled.

Mr. Tatum, struck on his left side, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. A spokesman had no information on a patient by that name.

Officers found the suspect driving in the 900 block of South 14th Street. Police said they found a gun inside the car.
