Bomb threat at Monroe Mental Health building

Man locked in another county's jail called in false-alarm about 1 p.m.

MONROE -- A supposed bomb threat called into the Monroe Community Mental Health Authority today was made by a man who is locked up in another county's jail, officials said.

The threat was reported at about 1 p.m. to the facility at 1001 S. Raisinville Rd. Monroe County Sheriff authorities gave the all-clear at about 2:50 p.m. after searching the building.

The caller's identity and the jail he is being housed in were not immediately provided; it was not clear if charges would be filed.
