8 indicted for breaking into Riverside Hospital

Eight people were indicted Wednesday for breaking into the former Riverside Hospital in North Toledo and trying to tear out copper pipes and wiring.

A Lucas County grand jury indicted the group for breaking and entering stemming from a May 14 incident at the vacant building on North Superior Street, which is owned by Toledo Public Schools.

Charged were Tyrone Johnson, 20, of 105 17th St.; Devon Jones, 23, of 1323 N. Huron St.; Alejandro Herrera, 22, and Jerardo Herrera, 21, both of 928 N. Ontario St.; David Smith, 19, of 720 Locust St.; Ryan Wilder, 19, of 629 Locust St.; Brandon Hoyt, 31, of 524 Lagrange St., and Anthony Hill, 19, of 1020 N. Michigan St.
