A two-vehicle crash that seriously injured a Toledo woman on southbound I-75 in Rossford, closing lanes for about two hours overnight Thursday, remains under investigation.

Christian Tolles, 31, the car’s driver, was trapped in the wreckage for a time and flown to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Bowling Green post said. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

Ms. Tolles was driving a car south on the interstate near Buck Road about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when the vehicle struck the rear of a disabled tractor-trailer, which was partially on the shoulder and partially in the right lane, troopers said in a statement Thursday. It was unclear whether she wore a seat belt.

Butoyi Francois, 27, of Grand Rapids, Mich., the semi’s driver, was not injured in the crash, the patrol said. He had set out emergency fluorescent triangles and turned on the semi’s emergency flashers before the crash, troopers said.

No charges had been filed Thursday.
