Person shot in West Toledo

Anthony Hunt was riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle, driven by his mother, when he was shot at least twice, police said.

After being shot near Berdan and Haverhill avenues at about 1:50 p.m., Mr. Hunt, 46, of Toledo, was driven to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center by his mother. A hospital spokesman had no patient with his name in their database. Police described the injuries as nonlife threatening.

According to an incident report, Mr. Hunt and his mother were in the car when they heard four gunshots and saw a small black vehicle speed away. The victims‘ vehicle had three bullet holes in it, police said.
