Anthony Hunt was riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle driven by his mother when he was shot at least twice Tuesday, police said.

After being shot near Berdan Avenue and Haverhill Drive about 1:50 p.m., Mr. Hunt, 46, of Toledo was driven to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center by his mother. A hospital spokesman had no patient with his name in the hospital database. Police described the injuries as nonlife-threatening.

According to an incident report, Mr. Hunt and his mother were in the car when they heard four gunshots and saw a small black vehicle speed away. The victims’ vehicle had three bullet holes in it, police said.
